It was with glee that I called Comcast and Spectrum and told them I no longer needed their services. While the family is OK with many of my new frugal hacks, eliminating all TV was not something they were willing to support. However, I was paying $160/month for cable at my two houses, and that was not sustainable. Enter YouTube TV. For $50/month total, we have 6 different accounts on numerous devices. We can watch any program, including all local news programming AND NESN Red Sox baseball, on any device – TV, iPad, iPhone. Family is happy. We are saving $110/month, so I am happy.

I cancelled all cable. No complaints so far from the family as the kids never watched cable anyway. I have looked at YouTube TV though and it seems like a good option if I succumb 🙂
